Maybe they got banned some bots but on the way also a lot of people that didnt bot

This is a very valid legal complaint. The time ,effort ,and money ( buying perks from NCSOFT), gives you the cause.

And you sign that all away with the EULA.

NCSoft doesn't have to do shit, when you play an MMO you sign away your rights, and agree to either play things the exact way they want things to be played, or have the chance of losing EVERYTHING to them. Honestly, they won't even have to bring up evidence, and your case will probably never reach court. They will just need to point out to the Judge that when you first purchased the game, all you purchased was the right to play in it, and everything you did in the game actually belongs to ANet. And if they believe you broke their rules, then thats all they need to take away all your goodies, because you are in effect borrowing said goodies, even goodies you bought, then it legally counts as paying a friend to borrow his stuff/renting.

Sorry if I seem a bit harsh, but either you are innocent, and will get your stuff back when YOU prove it, or your trying to garner support for your lying ass because you got banned for cheating, and don't want people to know. Judging by the fact ANet can almost certainly check records, can check conversations, and can check all sorts of other things, and your friends can't see you 24/7, and well, I'm more inclined to believe ANet, especially as this wasn't a largescale shotgun nerf like in the past, but was targeting individuals they WATCHED bot, or they watched for a period of time.

What does it matter? I know people who got banned and I know people who didn't. Some of the people who didn't get banned are more upset with the ban than the people who got banned. It might be equivalent to going too fast on the freeway because they wanted to get to GWAMM as fast as possible. What do you get? A ticket or a warning. Do you get the death penalty. According to the "people who don't bot," yes you do.

Honestly, some of the people who don't bot, it seems now that their sole reason for not botting was so they could laugh in the face of those who do. That seems really ethical. NOT. GG on superiority complex.

I didn't bot, not out of any sense of moral superiority but because I didn't want to risk a ban. I used to bot all the time on Mafia Wars because I could care less if I got banned on that stupid game. I don't think the botters are bad people, just kind of dumb. They knew they were taking a significant risk by doing so.

All in all, I just want ANET to make it very clear to the rest of us remaining players EXACTLY what types of behavior will illicit a ban. As I have mentioned in another thread, a lot of us are essentially cheating in some EOTN missions by flagging heroes across the map to avoid mob spawns. That is in fact cheating and I would hope I don't get a PERMANENT BAN for doing so.

Also, there is that EOTN mission, "Service: Practice, Dummy" where you can type /resign at the beginning of the mission and it counts as complete (the one where you get the Ebon Assassin skill). I hope I don't get a PERMANENT BAN for doing that either.

I'm also curious why people who exploited the bug in the Zos Shivros Channel mission (to max out Luxon titles while being AFK) didn't get permanently banned either. That seems no different than a bot in terms of "playing the game while not being at your keyboard".

Look, if you botted or otherwise violated the EULA, you DID do something wrong and we have no reason to feel sorry for you.

If you are honestly innocent, have never botted or otherwise violated the EULA in an instant perma-ban kind of way, and yet you coped a ban... then you really need to talk to the NCsoft support people and explain the mistake (remaining calm and polite will go a long way here)... no amount of forum sympathy is going to return your account to you.

If you just botted that one time, only for a little bit, a long time ago... then I don't care about how unfair you think your ban is.
